Who We Are

The Child Development Centre is a non-profit organization, operating under the Nanaimo Child Development Centre Society (formerly Nanaimo Neurological and Cerebral Palsy Association), which provide individualized services for children and their families that promote child development. We work with children to help them grow and develop. We help them with their communication skills, motor skills and learning abilities. We recognize that each child has diverse needs that must be addressed if they are to reach their full potential.

Our staff of Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Family Support Workers and Preschool staff are committed to continually improving and enhancing our programs to meet the needs of the child.

Last year, the Centre helped over 1400 local children and families in our community. The Child Development Centre has been providing services to children since 1967.
